Prince Philip, The Duke of Edinburgh, first proposed a national program for young people’s development back in 1954, and each year, the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (DofE) helps thousands of young people build skills, confidence, and resilience. They take on challenges, follow their passions, support their communities, and uncover hidden talents. The DofE is open to anyone aged 14-24. Participants choose their own activities and volunteering to earn Bronze, Silver, or Gold Awards. It’s offered in schools, clubs, and organizations across the UK and beyond.
